Description
BLED represents the Fourth World Music genre – a primitive-futuristic sound that combines modern electronic music with indigenous and folk musical forms from around the world. The band specializes in creating long, immersive structures that allow listeners to pause for a moment and dive into their own thoughts. It’s music that becomes a soundtrack to life – reflective and multidimensional. The fascination from which BLED drew the name is “Dune”, a science fiction novel written by Frank Herbert. The music is an interpretation of futuristic visions like those in films such as “Alien”, “Blade Runner”, or “2001: A Space Odyssey”. In a world full of distractions and short attention spans, the band intentionally offers songs that are simple in structure but emotionally and intellectually engaging. You can call it „the soundtrack to a yet-to-be-directed movie.”
Sławek Koryzno – drums, modular synthesizers, fx
Emil Miszk – trumpet, Moog Rogue, fx
Terra Incognita, or “unknown land,” is a term originating from old maps, used to mark areas that were still unexplored and undiscovered. But for BLED, it’s not so much about unknown lands, but rather a space free from excess, where you discover what you truly need and what is just noise. It’s like a sculptor who, instead of adding more elements, cuts away pieces of stone to reveal the form hidden within. “Terra Incognita” is a place where you stop looking for new inspiration outside and focus on clearing your inner self, removing what’s unnecessary to achieve a state of pure and simple sound. It’s about being subtle, where each sound and note fits perfectly. It’s a journey into yourself, aiming for simplicity and truth.
